Love Is The Theme…

A blessing In Disguise

Yesterday, as I was going through my journal, I read a quote that I had jotted down a month ago while reading Max Lucado’s Next Door Savior

“God’s greatest blessings often come costumed as disasters…”

As I thought about the events that had occurred throughout the last few months, I acknowledged that nothing could be truer…. It was a disaster that had brought me to Jesus’ feet, in tears, and desperate for His love…Today, as I reflected upon the process through which I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior, I realized God had been working for a purpose that, in the middle of my pain, I could not see…While I was concerned only with the “Why Lord?”, God was using His methods to refine me….

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9)

God’s ways are perfect…

“For our present troubles are small and won’t last long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever” (2 Corinthians 4:17)

Beloved, you might feel crushed and overwhelmed now by life situations….but remember, there is a purpose in our sufferings….
