Love Is The Theme…

Precious Lamb, Cherished Are You…

 ~Comfort, Comfort My People~ (Isaiah 40:1)

Before I post the last scene of Mary of Bethany’s devotion to Jesus, I’ll start a new series called “Comfort, Comfort My People”. It will be constituted of several poems. Beloved, I hope you find solace in the knowledge that the seeds of comfort may take root in the soil of adversity.

“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away. In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish” (Matthew 18:12-14)

~ Precious Lamb, Cherished Are You ~

Treasured one,
Most precious of His herd,
Do not despair,
He is searching for you.

A winter storm is raging outside.
Despite the fire lit up in the chimney,
Your heart is cold, cold.
Nothing can compare to His warmth.

The wind is tormenting the trees.
Just as they shriek under its force,
Your heart screams under the difficulties of life.
Your eyes riveted to the door,
You wonder: Will He even come?

“So I sacrifice my life for the sheep.
I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold.
I must bring them also.
They will listen to my voice,
And there will be one flock with one shepherd.”

Indeed, you are His treasure!
He will not abandon you.
Didn’t He give His life once?
Earthly circumstances cannot stop Him
